NRCan/GeoGratis places Woolsey Creek's mouth at 51.116389, -117.884444 (key JBQUN), where it joins the
Illecillewaet River east of Revelstoke; a nearby but separate West Woolsey Creek (key JBLMD) and a historical "Woolsey (Silver) Creek" name (key JBQUP, no longer official) both refer to the same area. The creek runs stream order 5 (mid-range toward river scale on the 1-to-6+ network) for roughly 15 km.
Provincial fish-inventory data directly confirms
bull trout and
westslope cutthroat in Woolsey Creek. Rainbow trout are reachable habitat under barrier-aware connectivity modelling, without a direct record yet.
The Canada National Parks Act's schedule for Mount Revelstoke National Park describes the boundary running "northeasterly following the right bank of Illecillewaet River to the right bank of Woolsey Creek, formerly Silver Creek," then "northwesterly following the right bank of said Woolsey Creek to the right bank of Maunder Creek." In plain terms: the park's legal edge runs up Woolsey Creek itself for a stretch above the Illecillewaet confluence, and Parks Canada's own materials confirm the creek's Highway 1 crossing sits inside the park. Exactly how far upstream that boundary section extends, and whether any higher reach of the creek's 15 km falls outside the park, isn't confirmed.
