Lake Macdonald

Stillwater
2.24 km²
Water area
A Seqwater storage lake on Six Mile Creek in south-east Queensland, stocked with Australian bass, golden perch, Mary River cod and silver perch.
Lake Macdonald is a stocked impoundment on Six Mile Creek, about 16 km west of Noosa. Australian bass, golden perch, Mary River cod and silver perch have all been put into it.
The trip is a single one: the lake itself, for any of those four natives. Seqwater owns the lake, and its site is where you check current facilities, fishing vessel requirements and dam alerts before you leave home. Queensland’s own fishing rules decide what you may keep and what you need to carry, so read them first.
Start with a plan for the stocked species rather than a single target, and see which one answers on the day.
