Hatch

Water Boatman & Backswimmer

A fall stillwater specialty. Water boatman stay near shore on submerged debris; at the first frost they make mating "nuptial flights," ascending and crashing back through the water — a brief, frantic feeding window worth fishing with an erratic retrieve.
