Frogs & Tadpoles

Warmwater forage — the domain of bass more than trout. On warm, shallow Kootenay ponds, aggressive largemouth smash surface bugs, so a popper or frog pattern worked over weed and shoreline is the play. Most relevant locally at duck lake.

Timing / abundance

Summer, in warm shallow ponds/bays with weed and lily cover; tadpoles earlier, frogs through summer. #open (local timing)
