Delete your Castabout account

Castabout is operated by Brillyance. You can delete your Castabout account, and the information saved to it, at any time.

In the app or on the web

1. Open Castabout on your iPhone or Android device, or go to castabout.app/profile and sign in.
2. Open Profile.
3. Choose Delete account, then Delete my account to confirm. If you signed in with Apple on an iPhone, you’ll be asked to confirm with Apple first.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

If you can’t sign in

Email privacy@castabout.app from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm the account is yours before acting.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in details (name and email address from Apple or Google).
• Your profile and settings, such as units.
• Your saved favourites.
• Any journal entries, catches and photos saved to your account.

If you signed in with Apple or Google, deleting your account also disconnects Castabout from that Apple or Google account where the app is able to do so. You can also remove Castabout in your Apple ID or Google account settings.

What is kept, and for how long

• Usage analytics: pages viewed and features used, kept for up to one year by our analytics provider and then removed. They are not linked to your account.
• Messages you sent us: emails to support@ or privacy@castabout.app are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request or meet a legal obligation.
• Nothing else. Your account data is deleted straight away, and we don’t keep separate backups of it.
