Lake Dalrymple is the water held by Burdekin Falls Dam on the Burdekin River, and barramundi are the fish stocked into it.
The dam and the lake are the same water under two names. You reach it by Burdekin Falls Dam Road at Mount Wyatt, about 122 km south-west of Ayr. Sooty grunter have also been recorded here, though with low confidence, so in our read barramundi are the better bet to plan around.
Sunwater owns the dam and is the place to check facilities, fishing vessel requirements and dam alerts before you go. Take any rule that applies to your trip from the current Queensland fishing rules published by Fisheries Queensland.
